Intergovernmental Agreement For The National Disability Insurance Scheme (Ndis) Launch
An agreement to establish a national regulatory system for all heavy vehicles over 4.5 tonnes, consisting of uniform laws managed by a single national regulatory authority. In many cases, the agreements were a precursor to the adoption of Commonwealth or state and territory laws. The agreements reached at COAG level clearly show that the results are supported by the Heads of Government and that they are more topical and forceful than ministerial reports and communiqués which may not always contain detailed political and/or operational issues. The NDIS launch area has the same meaning as in the National Disability Insurance Scheme (Becoming a Participant) Rules 2013. 2.5 Where a Participant residing in Southern Australia does not fall within one of the classes in the Table, the CEO shall begin preparing the Participant`s plan as soon as reasonably practicable having regard to the CEO`s obligations to facilitate the development of other participants` plans. These participants are not part of the phase order shown in the table; their plans are facilitated as soon as possible according to their number of participants. This ensures equitable access to NDIS for participants, including those who do not benefit from disability services provided or funded by the Commonwealth or South Australia. For more information on other intergovernmental agreements, see below. 1.1 Each participant in the NDIS launch has a plan established by and with the participant and approved by the CEO of the Agency. A participant`s plan defines, among other things, the aid that will be financed for the participant. Detailed commitments of the Council of Australian Governments (COAG) may be recorded through intergovernmental agreements or declarations of cooperation.
